This webinar explores the role of nonviolent civil resistance in Ukraine following Russia’s full-scale invasion, focusing on its drivers, strategies, and key actors. It examines how grassroots initiatives enhance societal resilience, counter hybrid warfare, and support civilian protection. Drawing on the experiences of researchers and frontline practitioners, the discussion highlights efforts to resist occupation, combat disinformation, strengthen communication networks, protect critical infrastructure, and prevent social polarisation. The webinar also reflects on the strategic implications of civil resistance for civilian-based defence and civil–military cooperation.
